On October, 21st 2021 the Statistical Bulletin Year VIII – n. 12 – October 2021 reports the interim survey of Solvency II data (first half 2021) of Insurance Companies operating in Italy.
At the close of the first half of 2021, the Solvency Capital Requirement ratio between own funds and SCR at the Italian market level was 257%, an increase compared to the end of the first half of 2020 (211%) and at the end of 2020 (240%).
By dividing the companies by type of SCR calculation, those that use:
- the internal models have a weighted average ratio of 265% (224% at the first half of 2020 and 249% at the end of 2020);
- the standard formula, a ratio of 242% (190% in the first half of 2020 and 223% at the end of 2020);
- the standard formula with USPs, a ratio of 242% (190% in the first half of 2020 and 223% at the end of 2020).
