For the purposes of assessing Value For Money, Algoritmic® has developed a model based on the expected utility theory introduced by von Neumann and Morgenstern. We extended this model with a percentile-based approach in order to take into account a general loss probability distribution with high asymmetry and kurtosis.
WHAT WE OFFER ?
We have implemented our innovative methodology in a VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) tool that allows insurance companies to assess the Value for Money (VfM) of their products to their customers. From a process perspective, the tool manages the typical evaluation flow, enabling both evaluation during the product design phase and recurring evaluation during periodic testing to assess its sustainability over time.
